Building Materials

If you or your company is in the home building, remodeling, or home improvement business, you can help us stretch our cash donations by providing needed products and services.  There are several ways you can help.

 Donate your Time and Skills
Although most of Habitat homes are built with volunteer labor, quality concerns, scheduling,  and city codes dictate that we must hire professional contractors for work such as site preparation( dirt work), concrete. plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, drywall and (occasionally) interior painting.   If you're a professional in any of these areas and would like the satisafaction of putting your skills to work with Habitat on one or more projects in the coming year, a donation of your material and/or labor would really be appreciated.   You might even enjoy yourself! Donate Materials
As much as we wish all the materials needed to build Habitat homes were donated, we must actually purchase more than $20,000 in materials for every house.  Does your business sell products used in the home building process ?  Office supplies?  Paper products?     A donation of any of these - or many others - will help us put more of our cash donations where they were intended - into building affordable homes.    If you think your product might be useful, call us.   We'll put them to good use!

Be a ReStore Supplier
Longview Habitat for Humanity owns and operates The Habitat ReStore.  The ReStore recycles donated new and used building materials and home improvement products by selling them at deep discounts to the public.  The ReStore accepts drop-offs and arranges pick-ups of acceptable, reusable materials.  Sales of the materials are utilized to fund Habitat homebuilding projects and to underwrite operating costs of the Longview HFH programs.

Cleaning out the garage - finally?  Is your store overstocked or changing vendors?  A remodeling project about to start?  Don't throw it away !  Call The ReStore !

You can drop off your building materials during The ReStore's regular store hours.  Or call to arrange for our volunteers to pick up your items.
